Our market garden

Regional products

We set great store by seasonal and regional products and do our utmost to turn them into wonderful dishes for you. That's why we use products from the greenhouses of the local market garden Winanatura, In der Rüti 2, which supplies us with freshly picked, top quality vegetables, lettuces and herbs.

Variety of plants

The market garden is an environmentally-friendly and organic concern with more than 150 varieties of trees and plants, cultivated outdoors. Here, there are, among other things, valuable apple varieties, which have almost died out elsewhere: e.g. the Champagne Reinette, an old Swiss variety, only very few trees of which still exist.

Covering an area of 1000 sq.m., partly under glass as well as in a small area of outdoor open beds, vegetables are grown according to the Plocher system, including ProSpezieRara varieties. In 3 greenhouses, there is an extremely large variety of species of more than 350 different exotic, subtropical and house plants.

Orchid house

An orchid house is used for growing, storing and tending varieties mainly produced in Switzerland until they bloom again.

Sale of plants

You're welcome to buy plants and flowers from Giardino Verde by appointment. We're there for you from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
